Our client is looking for a Sales Manager for the East Region of the U.S. The ideal candidate must be a hunter who has proven success in cold calling and breaking down doors, and who has the capability to think strategically about business development. This is a B2B sales position representing the client’s services in the world of financial communications targeting the S&P 1000 companies. The position will reside in the Atlanta office.
  • Expand existing client portfolio and product range
  • Contact clients and prospects, by phone, email or during industry events to set up meetings (in person or online)
  • Present the company’s offers and convince clients and prospects of their value added
  • Ensure that clients and prospects have a clear understanding of the company’s offerings and value proposition
  • Close deals
  • Manage relationships throughout the sales cycle and beyond
  • Devise sales strategy with the managing director and execute
  • Orchestrate sales strategy and track sales vs. budget using the CRM
  • Report to the managing director on a weekly basis and when needed
  • ~20% travel
  • Coach the Customer Service Team on salesoriented tasks
  • Minimum 5 years’ sales experience
  • Solid B2B experience, especially in dealing with corporate departments
  • Proven experience in complex sales, qualifying prospects, relationship building and negotiations
  • Experience in defining and implementing sales strategies
  • Basic sales experience
  • Some European exposure
  • Experience in financial industry
  • Experience in communications field (agency or corporate)
  • Knowledge of SEC docs, e.g. proxy, annual report
  • Knowledge of these client areas a huge plus: Corporate Secretary / General Counsel / Legal Dept / Investor Relations Dept / Communications Dept / Financial Communications Dept
  • “Hunter” profile, with a proven track record
  • Good social skills and networking skills
  • Strong academic knowledge of selling processes
  • Use of CRM tools
