Associate Director, SEO

Our client has an immediate opening for an Associate Director, SEO. You will lead a local and remote team in paid search campaigns across multiple sites in the U.S. and overseas. If you are a highly collaborative, cross-functional leader who has proven success in leading the SEO process for large websites, this is THE opportunity for you. You must be an excellent writer and communicator too. Candidates must reside in Atlanta or possibly New York City. Must be able to work on-site full time.
 
Responsibilities
 
  • Manage daily tasks and teams responsible for paid search campaigns
  • Ensure consistency for SEO tactics performed across company’s network of sites
  • Provide SEO product requirements, manage technical review and UAT and maintain content best practices
  • Work with senior traffic acquisition staff to set direction for daily tasks and process related to all search engine marketing efforts
  • Lead internal communication of SEO best practices
  • Manage, train and develop SEO team members
 
 
Qualifications
 
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • 7+ years’ experience in SEO primary function or 10+ years’ in digital marketing role including SEO
  • Success in leading SEO process for large websites
  • Thorough understanding of SEO strategies, search term research, keyword targeting, and technical obstacles that would hinder search engine bot crawling and indexing and SEO editorial best practices
  • Highly skilled in developing effective keyword targeting strategy, prioritizing SEO initiatives, and executing on planned SEO tactics. Must provide work samples or case studies of successful execution of SEO tactics and/or other digital marketing initiatives that have led to increases in website traffic
  • Outstanding communication and writing skills
  • Detail oriented
  • Strong multi-tasker who can deliver under tight deadlines and fast pace
  • In-depth knowledge of optimizing websites for major search engines; including how HTML, Javascript and site architecture impact search rankings
  • Microsoft Office proficient with advanced level in Word and Excel
  • Familiarity with Google webmaster tools
  • Experience with third-party enterprise SEO tools and Omniture/Site Catalyst web metrics preferred
  • Success in optimizing large web sites with content management publishing systems a plus
  • Experience with international or UK specific SEO campaigns preferred
