Our client has an immediate opening for a Content Marketing Manager. This is a full-time permanent position. The ideal candidate has experience in writing marketing content to a variety of customer types (role is B2C only). Clients’ customers can be anyone from any walk of life.
 
The goal of the content is to drive customer acquisition, activation and usage as well as to retain customers and create optimal LTV. Content will be primarily short format, advertising in nature in both digital and print, and actionable – think direct response content with relationship marketing woven in. Responsibilities
  • Define overall brand voice and tone
  • Write marketing content for multiple customer types. Content includes emails, SMS, banner ads, website copy, feature bullets, direct mail, etc.
  • Create content to promote existing, new and future features utilizing SEO best practices
  • Determine content audience, channel and frequency
  • Ensure all content is consistently written in brand voice and instills trust in customers for the company
  • Work within regulatory guidelines collaborating with compliance/bank partners to meet those guidelines while maintaining brand voice
  • Create customer personas across three lines of business and map marketing content to each persona
  • Assess current customer content - website, direct mail, email, statement messaging, SMS, surveys, online FAQs and customer service scripts
  • Make recommendations on aligning current content with brand and customer personas
  • Direct customer research initiatives
  • Make recommendations on new channels – including championing social media within the organization
  • Perform assessment of company’s key competitors  
  • Understand and inform project needs; set and manage to project timelines
  • Collaborate cross-functionally within the organization
  • Be familiar with technologies used to reach customers – research tools (Mintel, SurveyMonkey), ESP (Silverpop), Ratings & Reviews (Bazaarvoice), CMS (WordPress), Analytics (Google Analytics), project management (SmartSheet)
  • Create testing and optimization plans
  • Review test results and re-write content as needed to improve results
  • Lead analytics team in creating reports
 
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Communications or other degree in writing
  • 3+ years of on-the-job interactive Web experience with 2+ years focusing on B2C content development
  • Project management skills
  • Proven advertising, relationship marketing, persona-based content writing skills
  • Background in content marketing strategy creation
  • Highly skilled in understanding various customer types and how to write content for each to engage them
  • Resourceful research skills
  • Self-starter and multi-tasker
  • Ability to influence and gain buy-in within an organization
  • Ability to succeed in fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
  • Experience writing marketing content for finance customers preferred
  • Agency content marketing writing experience preferred
