Our client, a technology-enabled financial services firm, has an immediate opening for Vice President, Product Management in Atlanta, GA. In this role, you will lead the product development and management of ancillary products and features that will enhance the existing core business. This is a pivotal role tasked with identifying new product opportunities to broaden the consumer experience and elevate the company’s position as a top provider in its category… A great opportunity to make your mark on something big.
This is a new line of business within the company; therefore, it will function with a start-up feel requiring not only senior leadership expertise to drive new initiatives, but also hands-on management of the day-to-day aspects of the business.
  • Evaluate and assess product opportunities for incremental revenue growth
  • Set and align the overall strategic vision for product positioning in the marketplace
  • Conduct full cycle of product development/management from opportunity assessment and strategy through launch, post launch and product optimization
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to lead product lifecycle activities with marketing, risk, IT, operations/customer service and compliance.
  • Manage relationships with strategic partners where ancillary services are provided by others
  • Build business case to support requirements including roles and responsibilities
  • Direct pricing of products to align with desired profitability and risk metrics
  • Function as subject matter expert on ancillary products
  • Conduct product performance analysis, present findings and redirect strategy based upon results
  • Conduct research activities to remain abreast of consumer, competitive and market trends
  • Bachelor’s degree, MBA or advanced degree preferred
  • 10+ years’ progressively responsible business experience
  • 5+ years’ product development/management experience
  • Intelligent, creative, strategic thinker with demonstrated ability to develop and execute plans that increased revenue
  • Action orientated with desire to roll-up sleeves, get hands dirty and dig into the depths of the business 
  • Highly collaborative with experience leading and influencing teams and individuals across lines of business, functional areas and different levels of an organization
  • Ability to create and effectively manage budgets and develop business performance measures
  • Strong communication skills – both oral and written – and a strong executive presence
  • Strong teamwork, leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Skilled in hiring, training and developing talent
  • Financial services experience preferred
  • Mobile telecom experience a plus
